Move over Mumpreneurs here come the Kidpreneurs !!

Finally an intelligent book based on sound principles written and delivered in a way kids can appreciate.

My son Jackson is 9 . Jackson was born at 24 weeks and is learning impaired but he has an incredible mind for entrepreneurship.

His interest in making money is so strong and his business skills are so good that while he struggles terribly with maths this is something that we have used to help teach him the fundamentals of maths and also to help him understand that you dont have to be the smartest in the class you just have to have big dreams and plans to get ahead in this world.

I was really excited to come across this book last month as it is something i am passionate about and something i beleive should be taught to kids in school. The book starts off by asking kids that age old question "what do you want to be when you grow up ?" It also helps them understand the different ways adults make their money

Last Year Jacksons dad purchased four little remote control boats for him off Trade Me while we were having a picnic at the gardens and all the kids were watching Jackson turned to his father and said "Dad i could charge a gold coin and let the kids have a turn with my boat " Shock horror i was horrified. How embarrasing i thought . As horrified as i was though how could i shut down my sons entrepreneurial plan.

Jackson made $19.00 that afternoon . The next day i purchased a ledger book for him and as his father had paid $25 for the boats on trademe i added the purchase to the ledger as a debt and encouraged Jackson too keep the ledger all summer . He finished with a healthy profit of $92.00

I think that these are things we should be teaching our kids and KIDPRENEURS is a fantastic book that i highly reccomend to everyone

The goal with KIDPRENEURS is to outline some basic tools and strategies kids can use to gain some valuable experience in starting, managing and growing a successful business venture. About the Authors

What is it about teaching our children the basic principles of sound money management that seems to tighten the throat and sew the lips of the average parent? Don’t ask brothers Matthew and Adam Toren, they’ve been far too busy bucking the trend. The Toren’s carry their tremendous entrepreneurial spirit like a torch, and are eager to pass it forward to the world’s youth while the flame is still burning. The brothers have spent years dedicated to researching the best practices in modern business and then teaching the techniques to others while also establishing and maintaining their own steady stream of successful businesses. Stopped by nothing and often inspired, the Torens set out to author their own book to teach children the same principles they had been teaching adults for years. Kidpreneurs was born – a book that stokes a child’s desire to get involved in business early by fuelling their curiosity in simple, engaging, creative, and safe ways.
